The Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) is committed to providing prompt, high-quality emergency medical care to all residents and visitors. Our Emergency Departments operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are equipped to handle a wide range of urgent medical conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.

What to Expect in an Emergency:
Triage System: Patients are assessed on arrival and prioritized based on the severity of their condition.
Qualified Staff: Our emergency units are staffed by trained emergency physicians, nurses, and support personnel.
Ambulance Coordination: Emergency transport is coordinated via TEMS.
On-site Support Services: Lab tests, X-rays, CT scans, and pharmacy services are available as needed.
When to Visit the Emergency Department:
Seek emergency care immediately for symptoms such as:
Chest pain or shortness of breath
Severe bleeding or head injuries
Sudden weakness or difficulty speaking
Loss of consciousness
Burns, fractures, or severe allergic reactions
Seizures or persistent vomiting
