Trinidad & Tobago is a twin-island Republic in the Caribbean Region. Trinidad is
geographically described as being the southernmost island in the Caribbean archipelago whilst
Tobago, its twin sister forms the northern edge of the Caribbean. Like all other Caribbean islands
Tobago is noted for its lush greenery, unique flora and fauna, exotic beaches, historic sites and
places of interest, and warm friendly people. Healthcare in Trinidad and Tobago is well-
developed, although not among the best in the world, we are making significant efforts to
promote healthcare throughout the country through infrastructural development and recruiting of
specialized staff.
The Tobago Regional Health Authority is responsible for the provision of healthcare throughout
the island of Tobago. Key services are offered at the Scarborough General Hospital and eighteen
(18) Primary Care Health Centres. The Roxborough Hospital, which is soon to be commissioned,
is a modern state of the art twenty-four (24) bed facility providing a full range of services that will
cater to the needs of clients in the North Eastern part of the Island. The services to be provided at
Roxborough Hospital include a 24-hour Accident and Emergency service, Paediatric and Maternity
In-Patient services as well as Specialist Outpatient Clinics such as Renal, Urology, Mental Health,
Dermatology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified professionals seeking opportunities in an environment that promotes safety, quality
and equal employment opportunities. Candidates who are experienced in working in a healthcare environment that is undergoing rapid
and multifaceted changes toward health service accreditation are especially encouraged to apply.
