Scarborough, Tobago (November 20th, 2018): The Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Michelle Edwards-Benjamin as Acting Chief Executive Officer, with immediate effect.
Mrs. Edwards-Benjamin has worked with the TRHA since 1995, moving through the ranks of Nursing to hold the substantive position of Secondary Care Nurse Manager. She holds a B.Sc. Management Studies from the University of the West Indies (UWI) and a Master of Health Administration from the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT).
The appointment of Mrs. Edwards-Benjamin by the Board of Directors is an interim measure as the Authority continues to be engaged in the recruitment process for the selection and appointment of a Chief Executive Officer.
The Board of Directors extends heartfelt thanks to Ms. Gillian Pollidore for her stewardship during the period 20th August, 2018 to 19th November, 2018. The TRHA welcomes the appointment of Mrs. Edwards-Benjamin as the organization strives to enhance the quality of healthcare on the island of Tobago.
