PROJECT COORDINATOR -Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)/Health Services Support Program (HSSP)
Job Summary

The Project Coordinator (PC) will serve as the coordinator for all activities of the Health Services Support Program (HSSP) to be undertaken under the Tobago Regional Health Authority. The PC will provide the required technical leadership and be responsible for specific deliverables under the HSSP and approved for implementation in the TRHA/THA. The PC will work in close collaboration with the Division of Health, Tobago House of Assembly, the Ministry of Health, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and other stakeholders, and will ensure the timely implementation of the Programme for strengthening the delivery ofhealth services in Tobago.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong project management/administrative skills (e.g., developing and executing plans, managing staff).
  • Excellent leadership skills (e.g., able to advocate for and influence and motivate others).
  • Ability to function independently in an efficient manner and meet tight deadlines.
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills (e.g., ability to build strong working relationships and manage conflict).
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
  • Competent in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project).
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Project Management or in the Social Sciences (e.g., Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration) from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Professional Certification in Project Management (e.g., Project Management Professional) will be an asset.
  • Must have at least eight (8) years of experience in Project Management.
  • Must have eight (8) years functional experience at a senior management level.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the health sector.
  • Experience working in the Government Sector.
  • Experience working on projects for International Multilateral Organizations such as IDB would be an asset.
  • Any other relevant combination of qualification and experience may be considered.
